The "fresh approach to estimating" aims to bring a compelling new alternative to the marketplace.
GT Motive and DAC Holdings have announced details of a strategic partnership which will bring the GT Motive Estimate software to the UK for the first time.
GT Motive Estimate is an estimating solution which is already well established across the globe. Over 26,000 users and 11,500 bodyshops use the software to calculate the cost of repairs following collisions, or to assess costs associated with mechanical breakdowns or inspection services.
The software has been developed by GT Motive, a Mitchell partner company. GT Motive has almost 50 years of experience developing claims, maintenance and breakdown management solutions for the automotive industry, and employs 250 staff across Europe.
In describing the partnership GT Motive’s UK Business Manager, David Morris, said, "Our market research indicated both the need for an alternative estimating system and also the need to do things differently. The team-up with DAC brings several additional business lines and services into the offering that are not typically available from estimating system providers."
DAC Holdings becomes the UK representative for GT Motive. Chief Executive Karl Durham said, "My team and I have been working for some time to bring GT Estimate to the UK and I am thrilled to be able to make it available to bodyshops across the country."
"I have long been an advocate of innovative solutions which bring value to the vehicle repair industry, and GT Estimate certainly does that. We want to give bodyshops choice when it comes to how they estimate repairs – and an alternative which combines powerful features, ease of use and transparent value for money is welcome."
"GT Estimate uses OEM timings, AZT paint calculations and VIN Query lookups to produce accurate, no-nonsense estimates time after time. We use the most comprehensive and reliable vehicle parts database, and can produce estimates on over 1,000 models from 36 manufacturers, covering 97% of all vehicles in the UK today."
DAC’s GT Motive UK activity will be headed by Philip Briggs, who brings extensive experience of vehicle estimating and repair from his 25 years working within the insurance, retail and manufacturer sectors.
"Having been part of the industry and used a number of estimating systems over many years, it’s clear to me that the time is right for a new solution which brings innovation and increases efficiencies," said Phil. "I’m very impressed by GT Estimate. It’s an effective estimating tool which will fit perfectly into any bodyshop today as a cost-saving alternative to other software."
"We are committed to establishing GT Estimate as the software of choice within the UK. We know that won’t come overnight, so we’re looking to introduce bodyshops to GT Estimate as their retail solution and for these customers to gain first-mover advantage as we bring on work provider partners."
"We want GT Estimate to be completely customer focused, so we’ll be keen to build a network of user groups to contribute to our development plans, working alongside our programmers in Spain and the UK. We’re committed to making GT Estimate the best software available, and with our customers’ help, we’ll achieve it."
"We have gone the extra mile to ensure that the software is cost effective and brings best value to the bodyshop, however many repairs you handle. We have a range of pricing options and payment methods – and we’re offering an introductory package which covers unlimited estimates, free VIN queries and a monthly payment plan."
"We’re also keen to work with sister companies across the DAC group to bring joined-up value, and will be offering to our GT Estimate customers special rates on paint, panel, MET and VDA training and assessments at ITAS."
"It’s an exciting time for the industry and I’d invite bodyshop managers to give me a call on 07809 206197 to find out more or to visit our website."
